Driving to Washington's version of Stonehenge near Maryhill on Hwy 14 afternoon of 7/28/2014

We learned later that the Columbia River Gorge is know as Hells Gate.  When it is 105-120 degrees I know how it earns it's name with these blackcanoyon walls.

Orchards and vineyards abound.

The hillsides are so dry we fear fire.
