Walk through the woods from Fort Clatsop to the canoe landing 7/27/2014

The kind of canoe that the Indians taught the expedition to make out of the plentiful red cedar.  They were more stable than the canoes that the expedition was accustom to.

The timber in the River was placed in the River to corral logs to make rafts as the floated down River.

The canoe landing site.
