Oneonta Gorge Tunnel on Hwy 30 in Oregon 7/28/2014

Looking up at the rock above the over hang. Specific formation due to the hot lava cooling slower under another layer which cooled more slowly.

The wood construction of the reconstruction was phenomenal.

This tunnel was filled in many years ago and the highway curves around the outside of the mountain and the train directly next to the highway. More recently the tunnel was dug out and reconstructed.
